The 2 Mark stamp was used from 1875 to 1900. It is possible to see from the colour to which group of prints it belongs to.

There are 6 groups of colours which have been defined to a certain periode.

It can be rather difficult to be sure, but the first two groups (1875-1884) are normally cancelled with ink and the last four groups are cancellled with a stamp.
